Its pretty high for the 13% demographic to make up over 60% of all gun homicide in the USA, an interesting statistic. Still seems tragic though, that in the USA, guns are now the leading cause of death for children, furthermore, between 2% and 7% of all injuries treated at US paediatric trauma centres are gun-related

Amnesty International describes it as a failure to keep firearms out of the hands of those most likely to misuse them; and a failure to invest in gun violence prevention programmes, as major contributors to the current gun violence situation.

I could not find any unbiased information on who this 13% democratic was.

Would you care to elaborate who this 13% democratic is?

My opinion is the public should not have them.

For me, it's quite simple. Laws, rights and so on...it all comes down to "is the cost acceptable?" and I am afraid the answer is no, it is not. Too many innocent lives are taken with guns in the hands of the public.

"Them" is a somewhat vague term, I doubt someone with a matchlock could easily kill as many people as quickly as someone with a modern hunting crossbow. That being said some guns and other deadly weapons should be harder to aquire for members of the public then others.

License & or permit to purchase & carry firearms, being different to gun registration of course. From what I have been reading (links above) some states and localities require that a person obtain a license or permit in order to purchase or possess firearms.

No permit to purchase or own a firearm except maybe in a couple of Left-wing dominated cities who pass such unconstitutional laws. Those laws are overturned once they can be brought up for appeal.

There is no firearms license for ownership in the rest of the nation, if you are 18 years of age with no criminal (felony) convictions, no Domestic Violence convictions and no drug addiction issues, with proper identification such as a state issued Driver's License you may purchase a firearm. As stated above: There maybe a very limited number of other laws that I am unaware of but they are always overturned when brought up to a higher court.

I am taking this off of the top of my head and basing it on a lifetime of experience so I may be missing a few finer points but I own several firearms and I have lived in many different states and there is absolutely no need for an ownership permit.

An exception that the media hype likes to leave out is that if you want to own a full-auto weapon then you are required to obtain a Class 3 permit which is not easy to obtain. There are also extra hoops one has to jump through to obtain a permit for suppressors in most states.

You may be thinking of a CCW, a Concealed Carry Weapon permit. I have permits that are good in 42+ states (it varies with changing laws) and they required more then a state driver's license to obtain.

May I ask you a couple of questions about gun ownership in Australia that I have been curious about?

I have read that many citizens are required to store their fire arms at shooting clubs/ranges and can only access and use them at such facilities. Is that accurate?

If you live in a rural area (The Outback?) what are the conditions for firearms ownership and use?

I was saddened by Australians having to give up their arms, I have known a few ANZAC troopers over the years and I hold them in high regard as to their effectiveness as soldiers and in general their all around good nature. It's a shame (IMHO) that they have to suffer such restrictions.

whicj is why usa has cop shootings more murders more violent robberies mire crime more school shootinhd more death.. than nationd where gund are banned.

i miss in usa the -well organised militia that is the requirement of owninh guns.

they are also not to be used to defend your house or by police or all that.. but only to depose a future tyranical govermeny with untill such time they should remain in mililia depots no need to keep them at home

I mean, I'm sure you'd try reporting him, I doubt a confirmed statistic would no matter how much you hate to hear it. And it's not even racist, it just shows how much the DNC running those cities have wrecked their communities. It makes the people running those cities look bad, and that's why the left wants to threaten people who say it.

There is no "well organized militia" requirement to own a firearm.

which is in your constitution as part of that very same article that gives you the right to bear arms.

never was it ment for civilians to use those guns on eachother.

and the only way I would aprove of gund being legalised here in the netherlands if there was very strict rehulation so they never would end up in the street.

i very much like my gun free police abd streets and want to keep them like that.
