Germany is legalizing Marijuana
German lawmakers have voted to approve legislation that will federally legalize a limited amount of recreational cannabis.

This is a milestone as it makes Germany the third European Union member state to legalize cannabis for personal use, following Malta and Luxembourg.
The legislation allows adults in Germany to possess and use cannabis, as well as grow it at home.
This will become effective on April 1, 2024.

Fixing the terrible infrastructure, stopping privatisation, outlawing GEZ fees, repairing the awful school system, fixing the crack and heroin epidemic, outlawing prostitution, stopping mass immigration and fixing the lack of proper integration for migrants, stopping the rising living costs, insane rent prices, full 5G coverage, upgrading from copper to fiberoptics to improve the absolutely pathetic internet bandwidth, re-instating conscription, re-enabling coal and nuclear factories (i could go on forever):

Giving people weed to stop them from complaining about the decadent state of Germany:

Sadly, human rights are too much intertwined into law that hinders any form of crackdowns to make any western nation great again. To fix the crack and heroin epidemic and to fix the illegal mass immigration would mean having concentration camps / detention camps to house and forcibly hold and treat drug addicts and also forcibly hold migrants seeking asylum. This wouldn't go down well in any western country especially germany.

I also feel democracies can no longer or is unable fix problems such as the rising costs of living, awful school system and poor infrastructures. Too many are against such moves especially the people in power because it would lose votes. To fix many issues listed, you need a strong nationalistic dictator and we don't want to go down that road agian.
here in Canada it's been legalised since October 17, 2018 and the hemp store's aren't allowed to display anything in there windows , only a curtain with there store logo

One of my 80 neighbour's get's CBD at the hemp shop for her tinnitus
You want to pack up and uproot your life to live somewhere else based on a substance?

...and they say weed isn't addictive...

I´m not aware that heroine is a huge or rising problem in Germany. It´s not comparable to numbers in the 70´s or something.

Also if it´s about that - Switzerland basically showed that legalizing it all, and having the health care to support it solves the problem pretty good.

And for the other problems - it´s not that it would be super hard to fix, but money is spent for the wrong things, and oftentimes totally ineffective. And instead of reworking the systems, there are ever more solutions which solve problems, which wouldn´t need to be there to begin with. You don´t need a dictator for it - it would be enough if the actual politicians would work out good solutions together - instead of talking against each other to get votes for their parties. And for the actual government - i´d already kicked out the liberals - and i´m unsure why there needs to be a coalition to begin with, when any party can participate. There so much time wasted on useless talk which benefits nobody except the politicians.

I am actually quite torn on the news tbh.
I am drug free today for two reasons, one is remembering a full blown psychosis and the feeling of a spider eating trough my eyeball when i have severe cravings , pure will and honesty about the use.
The other is actually lack of proximity to purchase, as i moved as far away from where i usually got it as possible to make it even harder for my self to slip.

I started to smoke weed when i was 12 and moved on to meth when i was 23 for one reason alone.
I wanted to get away from the world as usual, but the only thing i could get my hands on was meth, since there had been two major raids on the weed import, leaving the whole city dry that summer.
So if it had been legalised back then, and i could have bought it "anywhere", or grown it my self, i would probably have continued to smoke it to this day, but i would also (most likely) never have moved on to meth that really messed up my life ...

So i dunno ... A functional stoner on a slow spiral downwards or a former meth head with a ton of baggage on an even slower climb upwards ...

It`s not that weed is so addictive, it`s as simple as an addict is an addict.
Uh oh Germans are going to start devolving

As a french I see this as a good thing ... At least they will not be in shape to invade us the next time they'll feel like it. Don't gonna complain about that.

Some stereotypes...

French = Wine and eating to much garlic and onions
Italians = Wine, shouting and talking with their hands
Brit = Beer, tattoos and hooliganism
Russians = Volka and bear fighting while swimming in a frozen lake
Sweds = Walking around nude and eating surstromming

The funniest part is that You can almost invite anyone to drinks, and then talk about how bad drugs are - and that everything should be forbidden, because it´s dangerous and would be a waste of time, and only the worst people would take drugs, as there are so many better things to do than to be stoned and hanging out somewhere to be unproductive and being a burden for society...

Can never understand why this is always an issue with some people when they have no qualms with the myriad of other harmful things that have existed legally since before they were born.
If there is a market for literally anything then it should be legalised and taxed rather than supporting black markets, crime and corruption. legalise and regulate, sometimes I feel like religious conservatives are the bane of capitalism without even knowing it.

Well that's demonstrably false.
Potheads and crackheads have more similarities than differences but I don't even want to get into this conversation.
Stop spreading misinformation or should I say fake information.

Both a addicts and both will be losing brain cells but the crackhead will rob his granny of her false teeth to sell on the black market.

I think that dude does some hard drugs and tries to justify it by saying weed is more dangerous.
