The games are a lot of fun. I love Borderlands.
And BTW, I don't care what the movie is, if Cate is in it, I'm going to go see it.
Try ACM and Duke Nukem Forever.
Yes and no. I only play SP. But I can see elements where it is really meant to play as coop. Where all the abilities synergize. From the forums, it seems most people play solo. The graphics are a love it or hate it thing. They make it look like playing inside a comic book. Check a gameplay video.
Shooting an insane midget bandit in the face with a acid gun is an experience not to be missed :)
I did do Duke a long time ago. I did like it. What is ACM?
I even preordered that
Aliens Colonial Marines
If you're wanting to try one, Borderlands 2 is probably the best bet.
(BL1 wasn't bad, but it's missing some QoL; 3 has awful villains; pre-sequel & Wonderlands are ok, but kind of filler.)
. . . but even as someone who enjoyed the BL games, "Borderlands movie, with Cate Blanchett & Jamie Lee Curtis" just sounds strange. A whole lot of "why?!?"

Jamie Lee Curtis plays Tannis? Tannis was a lady-like persona who was completely insane. Hardly Jamie Lee Curtis.
Also, Roland wasn't a comic, he was a very straight character. Not at all Kevin Hart.
Although Jack Black is good for Claptrap, the voice couldn't be more wrong. The one defining thing about Claptrap was his voice.
As for Lilleth. I dunno, I just can't see Cate Blanchett in the role at all. What a very strange choice.
Well, it may be a good film, but I am sure there will be a lot of disappointed fans because it just diverges from the games too much.
