Who here has heard of WipEout?

I feel like a boomer for saying this but back in the older days, there was a PlayStation franchise called WipEout. It's an anti gravity racing game and made up a significant portion of my childhood. The company that developed it was shut down shortly after WipEout 2048 dropped for the PS Vita and nothing has been heard from Sony about a possible new game for PS5. They remastered some of the newer games for the PS4, but no original campaign has been made in 12 years. Is this because everyone moved on from WipEout or is it just Sony neglecting yet another loyal community of people?

WipEout 2048 was a great game back then on PS Vita, completed 100%. It was a hard game, but rewarding.

Bought the remastered collection on physical in case my PS+ sub ever lapses. I'm pretty sure I got a version for the PS3 through PS+ too but I'm not sure which that was.

It's a fantastic game on a big living room TV when you've got little amounts of time to kill.

It was very entertaining and funny.. I mean, back then I was about ten years younger, so..
