Is stealing still a crime?
For that past month I seen many people just grab stuff at Walmart and leave the store. Security and people are unfazed. Its as if I am with a bunch of NPCs.

Well, that's easy to explain: they're not losing anything.

Stealing isn't good but if it can't be avoided it's more ethical to steal from a large company than a small business, where it's more likely to hurt an individual person.

Or look at the government. If stealing was wrong, you would not have taxes. Taxes are pure theft. Insurance is not theft.

Insurance is very much theft these days, as they find any way possible to not pay out, or drop you, or raise rates if they don't drop you.

Because no one wants to confront them and get shot or stabbed or worse, the person stealing can sue you for everything you have. :cuphead:

Many people? I don't believe you.

Personally I wouldn't risk getting a criminal record for a trinket stolen at wallmart... No they don't care... most of the time but what if this time someone grabs your arm and say come with me sir.
A lot of doors will close if you have a criminal record... something to think about for something you could've easily paid for and probably don't even need

usually if I see a shoplifter while shopping as a customer myself I grab them.

my decade of working as an assist manager in retail in my teens and ealy twenties, still has me left with that "grab 'em" mindset today.. just as I tend to assist other customers if I see them looking around for an item or grasping for an item that is to high on the shelf for them..

and usually I am good at noticing them.. for I was quite the shoplifter as a child/young teen, thousands of euro of value, never got caught, eventually guild caused me to fess up myself.. but lets say I know the tricks from both side so I usually good in detecting them in others too.

I was the kind of shoplifer who did it as a challenge basicly looking what I could get away with..
well let me say.. way to much.. but yeah back than being detected would still mean getting arrested. these days many workers in a supermarket not care to arrest shoplifters "thats not in my task package..."

which ofcourse is ludicrous.. back in my days ALL staff members in the shop were supposed to look around and do tasks where needed.. I fired those who like a robot only did what was asked.

I used to be friends with such a person as a teenager and was unaware of it until one day we were in one of our friend's home.

We had all stopped at a 7-11 after school getting snacks and energy drinks. This person only bought some nachos with melted cheddar and jalapeño slices and a can red bull while my other friend and me bought a lot more snacks.

While we were playing rally car racing he suddenly had a king sized snicker bar that we knew he had not bought. He had 4 more that we at the time did not know about yet.

He seemed to be very excited about how good it tasted and asked us "Do you know why this snickers bar tastes so much better?"

We did not know the answer why it tasted better than other snickers bars.

With this super wickedly evil smirk on his face he replied in this sinful delightful tone "Because I stole it":steammocking: then he chuckled in a very sadistic tone. :steammocking:

We could tell that he seemed very pleased with himself like eating it was pure ecstasy to him.

As the late afternoon turned into evening he would every now and then pull out another king sized snickers bar and have the exact same attitude about eating it.

At one point my other friend asked if he could have ½ of one and the dude asked him if he was totally brain dead :steamfacepalm: :steammocking: and if we could not tell that the snickers bars were his dinner. Then he laughed at him in this ridiculing tone and then sarcastically :steammocking: asked "Why did you not steal some too?"

I was not such a person.

and usually I gave the stuff away.
and I certaibly not told anybody/bragged.

it started as a child.. my mum wpuld count the biscuits in the tin.. but if you stole a whole roll out of her storage closet.. she would not notice.
we only were given 1 bisquit a day and on sunday 1 larger cookie/pastry.
candy never, and chips only 1/2 small pack per weekend.
soda : 1 glass a week.
I still feel the guilt when I stole a cake that upon opening was way to luxerous..
-it came out of dads xmas box.
it was pistacio flavored (a very rare flavor) full of nuts and fruits (also quite rare) with thick chocolate around it.

In local candyshop they would watch you ask a hawk with the loose candy.. (ment you fill a bag and pay the weight many kids try to steal a piece)
I however figured they did not guard the larger items as well and walked out with ever insaner items.. it started with an f1.00 candycane but it ended with a f99.00 chocolate egg.
-i tossed most of that candy.. it was the adrealine rush of can I get away with it.. I never cared for the items.

next place sigarshop. kids would come there to buy bubblegum with stickers (10 cent each) or pannini stickers or carsds (80 cent a pack)
I not even collected those my sisters did.. but if I gave them to many my mom would get suspicious so most I just tossed.
seller had camera and cards were right oj his counter + would ban anybody from his store he caught.
I just saw more adrealine.
I waited grabbing them when he was distracted grabbing sigarets in the back for a customer..
and when other kids also grabbed them especially kids looking more suspicious
I also would master sliding them in my pocket without putting my hand in them ..
I would pay for 1 or 2 packs but had grabbed like 10 to 20..
and it would be those other kids who would get banned. often bulliesxof me my way to get back at them without them knowing.
-
record was when he has fresh delivery 2 whole boxes each of 100 packs.. placed in the back outsude the camera.. I took them.. when my biggest 2 bullies where in the store and upon seeing me started to harass me..
owner even defended me.. by letting me go and locking the door keeping those 2 in the store..
..
those 2 got banned for life.. I did toss those 2 boxes..

and it only got worse from there..

Untill I had like a haul of like 1000+ guilders of stamps.. (what use is that to a kid?) and other similair useless items I added up.. over 3k.. and that was just in a few weeks..
That was when I fessed up to that store brought all back.

got banned for life (though they do let me in now they no longer recognise me;)

all i wanted was the trill of not getting caught.. i never cared for the items.

shoplifting in my nation is not a criminal record you get a 180 euro fine and a ban for a year from that store.

if you shoplift under 12 no punishment is allowed.
if shoplift 12-17 you can be ordered to go to halt.. its basicly doing chores in a humaliating outfit undrr supervision mostly working by apearing uncool vs other teens.
+get ban until 18 from store
if shoplift 18+
180 euro fine + 1 year ban from that location of that store.
(if 3d offense that ban becomes for life)
-
entering a store where you are legally banned from is a crime.

Correct. If they do not pay out, live up to the promised, it is theft.

I am not saying there are not bad people. There certainly are everywhere in all human races.

But, the good thing is, you can bombard and demolish, easier, these kinds of people when they are in private companies. You can just starve them to death, by moving away from them to another company.

Problem with government, all government employees are thieves, is that you can not stop supporting them. You are forced to support them, even though they kick your teeth out.

big corporations/"risk" investors/banksters steal a lot more..

the only money you legally earn is if you personally added so many goods and services to the global pile of goods as you take
-some work more hours some put in more effort per hour.. but effort the same 1 hour of your time should equal the value of everybody's elses hour.
the very idea of making money with money/let your money work for you is STEALING the fruits of other peoples labour.

that said..

if you have plenty.. and you see a person starving or dying.. and you not help while you easely can.. thats a massive sin.

ofcourse that poor person is NOT allowed to than just steal your stuff not themselves and also not indirectly by a goverment.

but you bet you get judged by God for sinning like that.. and society should be wise to shun you.. denying you purchase and jobs for behaving like that.

Small businesses are definitely out of bounds. Some of those folks work long hours for little return. Same for your average guy in the street.

Theft happens at every Wal-Mart. It's why they have their own dedicated theft prevention team.

Yep, the justice system has failed thanks to liberal policies being enforced in blue states over the law of the land. It's been going on a couple years now. That's why San Fran is becoming a ghost city that businesses are making an exodus from.

Is their job to shoot an already cuffed man just because an acorn hit the top of your car ?
Is it weird that I heard if that story? Imagine firing at nothing because an acorn fell and you thought it was a gunshot.

He is a special forces veteran of 10 years with 2 tours who almost definitely has severe PTSD. The man needs help and definitely shouldn't work anymore jobs that require carrying a firearm.
