My valorant takes 8 minutes to boot please help

My specs are 465 hdd, gt 1030, i-5, 16 gb ram, before you guys get on me for having an hdd I have a friend who has a 2009 laptop with an HDD and lower specs than me and his game loads in seconds, any help is appreciated thanks

Well, if you insist it isn't your hdd, I would suggest checking your task manager and make sure you don't have a suspicious program like a virus hogging up resources.

having an hdd in today's computing landscape isn't exactly ideal. i get your friend loaded in faster, but i'd consider investing in an ssd whenever you can
