How delusional to expect other Blizzard releases on Steam

With Xbox now owning Blizzard, it seems quite possible considering Xbox's strategy has been to put everything on steam

It would require a significant amount of effort to see if it's possible to have a separate version of the game not on the battle net launcher and then integrate it into Steam's DRM.

Something is going to have to be done about those games on that battle net launcher though, as i'm sure microsoft would want to migrate them to their store as soon as possible.

Microsoft has most of their focus on the mobile market (they are even launching a new mobile games shop now) and their console.
PC games just a drip down the travel (ported xbox games)

Well, they're owned by Microsoft now who seems pretty open to release on as many platforms as possilbe, and given how Microsoft just fired a bunch of people from Blizzard, it's pretty clear to me they're restructuring.

So I'd say it is 100% not delusional to expect we'll see Blizzard releases some time down the line. Not that I care. Triple A gaming seems mostly dead now. Basically just big mobile games at the end of the day.

Blizzard has like 4 franchises, right? That's like four whole game series. Why do they even need a launcher and storefront app at all?

Maybe six. I haven't counted lately.

But a whole app? Which, for some reason, needs to update itself every other day?

Six games vs. hundreds of thousands of games.

I am waiting for them to do away with battle net eventually, and I imagine they will wait after that before making more titles available on Steam.

I mean having an xbox account is much more acceptable than a playstation one, does age of empires games on Steam force you to have a microsoft account for multiplayer I can't remember
