A number of albums here I own that I love.

I got to see Fear Factory as an opener for Megadeth at an outside venue in Phoenix. Went out and bought Demanufacture the next day.

A little disappointed that I'm not seeing any Queensryche here. Some of their best albums were in the 90's.

Huge Rush fan as well. Loved Counterparts. The Speed of Love is a top tier song.

Honestly I couldn't fit all the albums in that I thought were great during the 90's. I saw so many concerts back then it was ridiculous.

BTW special shout outs to the bands I think few will talk about. Jackyl, Brother Cane, Candlebox, and The Poor for starters. All those bands opened for top name bands back then and made a lasting impression on me.

One last thing ... I missed out on getting to see Alice in Chains live with Metallica. That was when they went into rehab and Candlebox took their place. It wasn't too long after that for the death of Lane Staley. Truly a sad day in music.

I may not agree with some people here on other topics but I can say this for sure ... music can certainly bring all types of people together.

I did own the Straight outta Compton and C + C Music Factory albums as well. They were excellent.

I agree. Bought the one after chaos a.d. and didn't like it i sold it to my friend for 30 bucks. Yea it was more then i paid 20 dollars but i had to make a profit.

Seems like people are interpreting the word "BEST" in OP's title as "FAVORITE."

In music, 'best' means 'genre defining' or 'music that created new sound' or 'created a new genre.' As much as I enjoy seeing the different albums listed on this thread, I find that the derivative bands like "Alice in Chains," "Beastie Boys" or "311" fall into the "FAVORITE" category and not the "BEST" category.

The 90s was when hiphop exploded and anything 'Beastie' in the 90s was the group in their decline. Dr. Dre, Snoop, those were the emerging hiphop/rap artists that defined the genre for decades to come.

'Alice in Chains' was just another rock/grunge mash-up band that followed in Pearl Jam and Nirvana's wake. AiC was not genre defining nor did they create a new sound. Frankly, Stone Temple Pilots did that sound better than AiC, even Everclear was a better band.
