The premise of this thread is just plainly false. Other types of threads sometimes get closed for the same reason, including political ones too. Imagine Growing Up In the U.S.A., Tennessee to regulate internet content and usage and Ban Japan have all been closed with this standard issue response from the moderation team:

Two random users? More than half the time it's the same person using alts to argue against their own position and flame people. That's what they do in their spare time when they aren't making threads about pokemon, uwu,onlyfans, or spreading some other kind of hate speech against gays women or blacks. lol This forum has been toxic beyond recovery since the moderation ended.

I remember the first time someone introduced me to 4chan. It was a student at college. He showed me a thread where a user was posting photos from a guided tour around a tomb in egypt. He asked the forum if he should steal one of the skulls from the museum and take a photo of it with his ♥♥♥♥ through the eye socket. Of course the answer from the forum was a resounding yes and so there you had it. Someone stealing and sexually abusing a 2000 year old museum artifact. That is the level of sub-human you are dealing with.
