This you?
Well, first of all, I don't consider that to be dancing. Just a bunch of weirdos moving their bodies in awkward positions. I couldn't even watch 10 seconds of that video.
This is entertaining.
why so many zer0s?
I dunno. I mean, I can't dance for ♥♥♥♥, but humans have been doing it since they were butt ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ dinosaurs back in the days so there has to be something about it
Dancing isn't just about entertaining people watching.
It's great exercise.
It's fun to do.
It has no entry cost or monetary investment.
Even a child can do it.
Why are you not into dancing?

In the sense, you can quickly ascertain if the potential partner is; physically healthy/capable, has similar energy levels/stamina to you, is emotionally stable/mentally fit and capable of expressing honest emotions without words, how good they might be in bed given how flexible and inventive they are with their dance adaptions to musical mood/piece changes, even more so if you partnering up to dance face to face and flirting/teasing with each other.
Basically, its almost impossible to lie with body language while dancing. In some ways its superior to talking with someone, you can know if there is solid chemistry before doing the awkward verbal interview part. It's the original form of speed dating, without any of the downsides.
Objectively it does look stupid, especially if you are sitting out because you can not compete with competition, but if you are into it and having fun, then you look confident and stylish. Some are naturally quick learners, others not so much.
Huge factors in attraction and even if nothing come of it, its pretty fun/thrilling, wardrobe malfunctions aside.
Competitive, professional couples dancing (or larger teams for that matter, complex choreography), is something else though, that's all very technical and sport like, great to watch too.
So I guess, you have to be there, even watching you learn how to be better at it by taking on new ideas/methods to incorporate into your personal repertoire of things to try/do when getting into flow of dance. Or stuff avoid, not everyone can move the same way, play to your strengths.
Not everyone is a dance genius, they don't need to be, stealing moves is perfectly legal in this case, you still gotta pull them off well, its about you, not them.
Tribal humans have been doing dancing, before we all became civilized (when ever musical instruments were invented aka clapping and singing) and boring; its primal stuff, all the best stuff is primal and its cross species, so, yeah; odd question/stance to take.
It is an integral part of the social bonding experience, especially in large group settings, it helps maintain and form families, communities, traditions etc. since it transcends language and species barriers, its all fun and energetic/positive, you could say its the foundational bedrock of all sexual based life.
I mean, it should not be possible to woo another human if you can not even speak the same verbal linguistic language, but you can do that through song and dance, simply moving, has a lot of power in that conversation/matter. Again, its primal.
There is no "best" dance either, it either looks great or its hilariously bad and that is all down to the performer, not the dance style/type.
If anything, its kind of tragic, that dancing has died out (Western hemisphere), jumping up and down in a packed concert isn't dancing, there are hardly any dance festivals that are mainstream any more. People rather look at other people, instead of participating in an actual event cooperatively and together.
That flash mob trend, wasn't a thing either, 10 years ago.
Though the current era of doing things for views (influencers) is more of business hustle than forming a community or looking for a mate, which is what core dancing has always been about.
Who knows, maybe dancing will make a huge comeback after the AI apocalypse when we hit 101% unemployment, got nothing better to do than jiggle around and find someone else to be not bored with, because they too, jiggle in a way that compliments your jiggles.
Go jiggle, wiggle and giggle. Stop being a stick in the mud, no need to spill blood, just throw care to the wind and celebrate, be happy for all of us instead.
Enjoy.
