I'm pretty sure it's a leftist concept. They somehow have the uncanny ability to instill meaning into meaningless things. Everything is so vague and arbitrary, like "a threat to our democracy" for example. Nobody knows what it means, but it sounds important and apparently that is enough for them.
Good job, that's the things you need to say if you want to get banned by me.
If anyone needs that to be explained to them, might as well give up immediately. They are a lost cause.
The YouTuber just made an assumption of malicious intent but in my opinion is wrong and only took a brief set of information on a surface level.
This is what 99 44/100% of YouTubers do. They want to distort the truth to make clickbait. Yet people believe all their lies. Just because it is not someone in authority saying it.
Yeah such activist awards must mean a lot in term of "historical accuracy".
Her work speak volumes since she got hired as "historian" consultant giving more of what she does best pseudo history and activism spin offs:

I thought all the vague "threats to our democracy" things were coming from the MAGAts. Their excuse for making voting harder and harder for people to do, to "defend" us from all these vague threats. (people being able to vote, being a threat to. . . well, them. Which they define as "our democracy", since *obviously* if they didn't win there must have been voter fraud! It's the only possible explanation! /eyeroll)

re: "media illiteracy"
To figure out what that means, start with the definition of "media literacy":
i.e, not just believing whatever bogus misinformation that you got fed on Facebook/Twitter/etc.
Which means that "media illiteracy" would be *believing* whatever stupid crap you just saw from some clickbait-y Youtube streamer or 4chan/reddit brigade.
(and "media literacy" was a concept long before the modern age of "everything I don't like is a Leftist Plot")
Ubisoft!!! We had enough of your shoehorning of realities into DEI politics.
If i had been the Japan PM, i know what i would have done to Ubisoft.
That being said, i am not Japanese nor African.
The guy actually existed, although there's very little records of him.
