also, where did you even get that
just checked, nope
no mention of intersex people
though such legislation will likely affect them
they're considered part of the lgbt community because they face very similar struggles, stemming from the same kinds of "reasoning"
the idea that they're somehow "broken", and need to be "corrected"— in this case, specifically through invasive surgeries done before the kid can even form conscious memories
it's a fight between social expectations and self-determination
So, you're not trying to appropriate their condition and attribute it to people who don't have it? Yet, you just went on to say by the very presence of their condition they belong to your little identity politics collective. Appropriating them is EXACTLY what you are doing.
ultimately, i believe this is the common denominator of the lgbt community, the unwarranted struggles that come from the difference between who we are and what we're expected to be
You only further prove my point. You're trying to lump people who make a personal lifestyle choice in with people born with a condition they almost certainly don't want, and use the fact they exist as something the other group can point to to make excuses for all their actions and behavior. You claim by their very birth with that condition they should belong to your little political collective as well. Think like you. Vote like you. Want the same things you do, because you've decided that on their behalf.
You don't view them as individuals at all. The idea of them having free thought, free choice, likely offends you if any of them choose to think in any other way than what you've already determined is correct for them. And it's not just intersex people who get treated that way by the so-called tolerant left. Virtually every group with something they feel can be exploited for political gains gets treated the same way. The EXACT same condescending "we own you" mentality gets used on minorities and women too.
