No. Once you stop paying, you can't play them anymore. Not sure how long your save files are good for if you pay again after some time not subscribing.
That can always happen, yes, but because devs ask not because Microsoft removes the game. In the end it's basically renting games.
Are we talking about Xbox Gamepass, then its $9.99, unless you talk about ultimate.
You can see the catalogue here
https://www.xbox.com/en-US/xbox-game-pass/games
If you are an Xbox users, then you need the pass to be able to play games you bought online, meaning that you "might" as well do it, even if its an awful practice.
Pro about a rental service like this, is that you get access to many games in the catalogue and don´t have to think about trying or buying games you don´t know if you like, as you can always end the sub.. (unless you do yearly, as many do on Xbox)
The con is that you can´t choose what games are in the catalogue and the vast majority of it is either very old or maybe not something you want (go look) they can also change depending on what month it is.
I personally rather just buy games I want, rather than rental service, where I don´t know if the game will stay (they will if they are Xbox Game Studio games, but not 3rd party) and it might not have the games I want.
Say I wanted BG3.. Gamepass does not offer that.. say I want another game that is not on there.. then it does not matter there is over 100 games to try and play... as that is just pointless.
If you want meat for dinner, then you obviously don´t sub for a box of veggies either.
Don't use gamepass, doing so supports the destruction of the gaming industry
Anyone noticed physical games on shelves are alot less than they used to be?.
