Well I'll be damned...also I love how the wiki page has a clarification area at the top noting the name is based off of the River where it was largely around; so clearly the Wiki lads have had their fair share of salty boys.

Yes i know it's a real dinosaur.
It's a cool movie, despite every single dinosaur being wrong, and largely so. Even when compared to the knowledge people had at the time. The director's of that movie took creative liberties for the sake of making them look scarier, and that's the biggest problem I had with it. They were animals, not monsters.
Yeah, I don't know why anyone would have assumed anything else. It's a small sauropod from Nigeria. Just like Edmontosaurus is a large hadrosaur from Edmonton, or Albertosaurus is a large Tyrannosaurid from Alberta. Many dinosaurs just get named after where they are found, or after someone who found them.
I thought it was pretty large like Aurorus 🤔
