Many parents are always concerned about their own failures upon their own children. They reflect themselves into them. Yet those children are unique individuals and don't always follow the parent's foot steps.

Let me put it another way...

You have a child and they claim they are LGBTQ, what is your reaction? Do you freak out and go OMG that's not okay, pray it away! Do you go? OMG I'm a failure as a parent! Or perhaps go, okay I'll accept you for whoever you are as my child, why do you think you are?

One happens to be open minded and accepting, which is what I'm suggesting to do. The other two are failures as parents and merely emotional driven, to whom I will say, should you of even been a parent in the first place, if you can't even accept the possible outcome. It's a you problem, not them.

Now diving deeper, ironically the opened minded parents who accepts them and discusses it might even find out the reason their child assumes they are LGBTQ is just due to some gender stereotype upon a sports interest, hobby, toys or clothing, etc, or just being curious but actually straight. Who knows unless you discuss and be accepting of it.

What happens if a kid comes out as LGBTQQIP2SAA++, what does a parent do?

Depending on what the child identifies as will influence the parents reaction. For instance one of those "A" is asexual. A child coming out to a parent and saying "I don't plan on having sex or do sexual things" would likely be viewed as a boon to many parents who would rather their child grow up to do adult things.

Now if a parent wanted their child to be open-minded and accepting I assume they'd guide their child to reject LGBTQQIP2SAA++ even if they fall into that umbrella given that those communities tend to have very restrictive ideas of what is allowed to be voiced and believed and what isn't. Remember JK Rowlingn started off as an ally who simply said "only women have periods" and she was cast out, and because of her popularity frequently attacked and given death threats.

I say this as a man who identifies as a lesbian.

JK Rowling came out of the closet as a transphobic individuals, in which even the Harry Potter actors turned against and claimed support of the LGBTQ with their statements.

She had published a nearly 4,000-word blog post which some nicknamed as a "transphobic manifesto" and she titled as "TERF wars"... yet the real question is why?

The reason was she supported Maya Forstater, a tax specialist who was fired for tweets deemed anti-transgender. A judge found Forstater's transphobia created a "hostile, degrading, humiliating or offensive environment" at her work and she was against females having the freedom to label themselves as they choose, which ironically goes against the American First Amendment / Freedom of expression / Gender Recognition Act 2004 / Equality Act 2010.

The real point is they never had to do that in the first place and make an issue out of nothing for themselves to dwell within the hatred of.

Go ask Elon Musk for more money since fired over tweet upon his xTwitter, spewing hatred towards transgenders for no reason other than to shame your company from which you work. I'm sure he will support it since he has a transgender child which disowned him and is also quite a failed parent, that even refuses to pay child support to his other children and went out of his own way to move to Texas just to avoid those high child support costs. Sad right?
