It´s mostly about mental strength. Physical strength only has limited uses nowadays, and the best use to improve on it is probably to improve on the mental strength department, if it makes You feel better. Else being somehow in shape can´t harm at all i guess, but it´s not my priority. I did a lot of sports, but got a bit lazy. And i also was more the speed guy instead of the endurance or strength guy. There are few activities which would have me motivated to do the endurance stuff, and most of them would contain some kind of teamplay. Either with one other person, or with 10 other people. But as it´s about endurance, it´s still mainly about mental strength to push it to the limits, or to expand them.

why not just visualize all your training and act like an idiot in public instead?

would people who know better do stuff like treat you like an imbecile, to try and make the lie stick?

That's pretty good actually. I started on bench at 50 kg. Now benching 150kg slow and controlled.

One day I'm gonna go 1980s fashion style at the gym including sweat bands and sweat head band and do a montage on all the equipment lasting about 20 seconds on each bit of equipment and dance to each section.

i seated military press more than most men leg press with both legs. i wouldn't mention it but there's the odd gym bro that walks up and says its inspirational from time to time.

edit: if you've maxed the leg press, surprise! you're not the average man.

What do You mean by that? Can You put it in another way? And is it the general "You", or is it like You mean me directly?

If You mean me directly, i don´t care much how other people treat me, or what they think of me. I also don´t have problems with most people - and don´t feel the need to show off something, or whether they think i lie or not.

If You mean "You" in general - yes, it could probably a source of income to visualize certain stuff and add some nice philosophies to it, to become some fitness or manly man influencer - or just a porn star. But then it´s not all about the technique alone, and being ripped could help. It´s only received as being an idiot if You don´t make much money with it, or are not good in what You´re doing. Else You´re successful - even if You will have some haters.

I asked the initial questions, because i mainly only said that mental strength > physical strength, because there are way more problems which can be solved or avoided with the former nowadays. Physical strength doesn´t have much use - maybe except for being a fitness instructor. Or to show it off at the beach or something. While being in shape and looking good obviously has a lot of advantages - but one doesn´t need to be overly athletic or muscular for that, while one can´t really have many training session on the face to have it look different, except for being either slim, normal, or fat.

I dead-lift at 2.4x my body weight. Definitely feel like I could go higher but I just do more reps, shrug.
