Submarines are regularly in each other's waters.

The crew (speaking from a colleague who was in the Royal Navy) do not know where they are or what depth they are at unless they use a string and they can tell somehow if they have gone deeper.

Russia is probably the most incompetent of all Submarine crews worldwide and get spotted. I would not say it is a regular thing that happens but if there is a submarine that gets spotted when it is not meant to you can put a bet on its Russian.

You even have drugs being smuggled by submarines worldwide.

Of the coast of Florida is pretty vague. Some might even consider Cuba to be of the coast of Florida if you're talking about the islands. Europe is off the coast of Florida if you're not going to specify how far off.

Cuba has hosted Russian ships every year between 2013 and 2020, Dietz said, adding that the exercises “impose a significant cost on the Russian Navy, which faces challenges in maintaining readiness and conducting deployments with an aging fleet.”

Last July, the Russian Navy’s training class ship Perekop sailed into Havana for a four-day visit.
