I noticed there's more trans topics in the forums which most average reader dont want them. Most people have differ views on wide range of topics. It should be noted that steam is an international company with so many different users from all across the world. Not everyone is in United States.
While it might be "bigoted" to some, to others it normal way of life. Again all comes down to what country, culture, customs that one's follow.
In order to lesson the amount of alt accounts is to clean up the forums so people would not have a reason to make alt accounts. Return the forums to gaming only.
During Pride month, I see more than 10 different forums on one subject which would be better answered in one forum. Average reader simply dont want to see all of this.
The steam rules also disallow opposing opinion without backlash from supporters. I would propose rules apply the same as any other social media. Ban users that do serious offenses, not banning people because of "hurt feelings". After all it words on the screen.
I wish religion, LGBTQ, Vegan, Politics, were not allowed.
