Andor was too boring for my liking. i switched off half way through the first season.
Yet Andor is one of the series that have been best recieved.. think about that for a secound (I don´t think Andor is a great show btw.. I guess its decent for what it tries..)
So long as Kathleen Kennedy and the Disney people are behind it pushing agendas and not sticking to what the whole franchise is about originally when George Lucas put it out there, of course it's not going to be that well received in general.
With the latest three films and recent attempts at new series coming out, some being successful, while others are rotten through and through. They are still looking for their golden goose, a series that can last many seasons and something that can make a lot of dollars for Disney.
all your critiques and you're gonna bully her into not pulling the thread...

Its a random youtube I found and I don´t know their bias. You could also just google it yourself.. but basically everything leakers have been said is true so far and this is not just some new take, this is lore defining changes in masse and not for anything I like.
Make up your own mind ofc.. But this could really hurt SW so much that fans might even not watch new series, even if they end up being good...
The real question is if they have enough new modern viewers that wants this.. if so its fine and they should just have fun.. there are so many other alternatives and new franchises that it does not bother me to much.
Jar Jar binks was also created via the thread. He is not only an undercover Sith, he is also one of the most powerful creatures, weaved by a much larger covern of witches.
Anakin was nothing special, if you look at the twins here, then they both predate Anakin and they also seem stronger.
I don't even have to watch this show to know what it is about. The Jedi order is oppressive, it needs to be reformed, and some other force is going to bring balance with a totally contrived story. It's a tale as old as Materialist Dialectics. The characters don't really matter, it's fine to create fanfic self-inserts or Mary Sues, the class warfare and the Revolution do. We've only seen this a billion times.
This will just be another example, like the Fallout TV show, where the Woke wreck a franchise. I know a lot of people enjoyed the Fallout show but they missed the theme, even though the writers straight up TOLD them what it would be. Why is the Brotherhood so bad? Why did Vault-Tec start the war? Why is the heroine a Communist who needless slaughtered Vault Dwellers? Same ♥♥♥♥, different toilet.
It's somehow getting worse with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ witch coven musical
I can guarantee you that behind the actual production it's just a bunch of straight white dudes who act like they "know" how to present diversity appropriately
