D-Day 80th Anniversary
Today, June 6th, 1944

Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy, beginning the liberation of France, and laying the foundations for Allied victory on the Western Front. The beaches of Normandy were split into five sectors, Utah, Omaha, Gold, Juno, and Sword, with each facing a barrage of gunfire from bunker emplacements, mines in the sands, wooden stakes, and more. In this one singular battle, Germany lost 4,000 - 9,000 men and Allied casualties had a confirmed 4,414 deaths, with at least 10,000 documented.

Recognize your veterans, appreciate their sacrifices, and remember D-Day

After so many deaths to stop Fascism
Just as it slips from living memory
Fools rally to see wannabe tyrants
Pandering to the lowest of human follies
Embracing ignorance and hate
Selling Torches and Pitchforks
Looking for a scapegoat to Lynch

You either die a hero or you live long enough to become a villain.

I would like to thank the servicemen who protect me, and those who fought in wars and whose sons and daughters are actively protecting me.

Even though you were a prick to me in life, thank you grandfather for fighting the Germans and helping to rid Europe of Hitler.

What did he do to you? It's ok if you don't want to answer

Final analysis, it was a mistake, so many boys died to win a war for Stalin.

Its easy for people to remember D-day... Monte Cassino... not so much.
Both campaigns had many losses of lives and hopefully... welll we have not.. but we should have learned from these events.

Here is some music to remember those that lost their lives in these events.

I made some like, what happened today post, where people could post an event that happened today, but it didn't gain traction so i deleted it, sounds like it'd be useful right about now lol

And who do you think should have won instead? Instead of stalin, that is. Should d-day not have happened and let the war go its own course as is? Someone else win? Or just saying that d-day gave stalin more of a win than the other allied powers?

OPTIMUS PRIME!!, the perennial do-gooder, always meddling where he doesn't belong. It seems you've found your way into the Steam forums, much to my... delight.

While your sentimentality towards the so-called "soldiers of humanity" may be heartwarming to some, I find myself rather indifferent to their plight. After all, what do their petty sacrifices matter in the grand scheme of things?

Nonetheless, I must admit, your intrusion into these forums does pique my interest. Could it be that you're attempting to establish a foothold in my domain? How amusing!

But fret not, Prime, I shall allow you your moment of sentimental reflection. Just know that the reigns of power in these forums still rest firmly in my grasp.

With detached amusement,
Starscream

Starscream at last long last,

I'm grateful for your decreased hostility at this moment, in honor of my human friends. They have shown immense courage in the face of danger, marching onwards into combat. It is clear you Decepticons could never match their immense gallantry against the Autobots.

After today however, I'm afraid I can no longer hold the Autobots back.

I hereby declare, starting from tomorrow, war shall commence between the Decepticons and the Autobots, for in the end, one shall stand, and one shall fall.

I await your troops tomorrow, and stay the defense.

With courage and honor,
Optimus Prime
