Justice For George Floyd
Derek Chauvin has just been found guilty of all three charges pending against him.

I'm glad the trial is finally over.

Literally loosing braincells from reading this thread.
Morally ambiguous event happens
The event in question was anything but "morally ambiguous".

But please, keep grandstanding as the "reasonable moderate".

No splitting hairs at all. You didn't know facts so now you try and spin it a different way. This is done i'm starting to see your true colors.
The spin is way different? Again your splitting hairs and assuming things. What is so much of a difference between the store staff and the store owner. 99% of the people would refer to the store clerk who represents the store, as the store owner. And using one word for the other on an off topic forum doesn't spin the story at all and if you think it does then lay off the caffeine

I wouldn't. I wouldn't assume that a person working at any given store is the owner. 99.9% of the time the owner is hardly there. And the workers do everything.

HEY EVERYONE WHY WONT YOU TALK ABOUT THIS OTHER THING INSTEAD. I AM INCREDIBLY SMART

And the funny thing is you address nothing and proved this was never about people’s lives. So thanks
Nothing you said was worth addressing, it was pure whataboutism and a worthless contribution.

Apparently I'm "grandstanding" by making a single post pointing out how US politics are screwy, the media feeds off of polarization, and that I'm not taking some extreme stance in all this. Neat.

You're still splitting hairs. Tell me how the store owner vs the a store staff member reporting this to the cops matters at all. You inferred that this was revealing my true colors, where's the huge difference?
You're a joke.

Afaik kneeling on the neck of a person is not common U.S. police tactic, or only one that knowingly can go hand-in-hand with potential serious injury or death. So "normal police formalities" hardly applies here. Even if that were regular procedure it should be questioned regardless. If I gave you a gun and told you to shoot every guy that only remotely appears dangerous to you, would you justify that as well?
The kneeling on the neck is procedure because it doesn't cut off airways. It's the procedure that's taught by the police deparment to their officers. It pushes into your spine and hurts, but it doesn't cut off your airways. You'll hear how Chauvin broke police procedures during the restraints and that's because Chauvin moved his knee from his neck to his shoulder blade, which is actually less of a restraint but not specifically taught by the police department.

And Chauvin was legally allowed to use a taser against Floyd if he wanted to. Taser while being less then lethal can kill a person. Your if I gave you a gun order doesn't make sense when Chauvin used a less then lethal method that was considered less invasion then say...a taser.
I'm not going to debate with you what individual techniques are best used to restrain a guy. Because as far as I'm concerned it's better to let someone go for the moment or find other ways than to risk serious injury or death by applying techniques or using tools that are known to potentially cause harm that large. Floyd wasn't holding someone at gunpoint, he wasn't armed, he wasn't really threatening somebody. Resisting arrest does not justify excessive force and killing somebody. You can bring up the past of Floyd or his drug abuse as often and as much as you want, but it does absolutely not matter for the case at hand and will not excuse poor police tactics/training or the poor choices that Chauvin made.

You don't have an argument. You don't have a point. All you wanted is for someone to reply to you so you can go "ha! Proof I'm RIGHT! checkmate!" because they're rude to you for some reason over the internet (the reason is that you deserve it) or because they, heaven forbid, engage you sincerely

You obviously tried to apply your statement to this situation (which is the death of a black man due to police violence) by painting it as "morally ambiguous" so you can get on your soapbox and say "both sides bad". Thing is, the "event" here wasn't muddied, it's actually quite cut and dry.

Well, it should make doing christmas cards easier.
If you're blocking people over opinions then please, tell me I'm on that list so I never have to interact with you.

What precisely do you consider a bigot to the point of needing to block them?

Personally, I block people I'm tired of. As a result, I can't read my own posts and I have no idea what I'm saying.
