Just in regards to the money, I have dealt with fake bills quite a bit and it is absolutely depended on the actual bill. Some are really really good with serious machinery. Some are basically done with a color copier on ordinary paper, there are all kinds of fake bills.

In regards to the fake bill in question, given that it actually turned out to really be fake I'd say it peobably was not that great an imitation. But I don't know much about dollar bills, are there any security measurements like metal stripes, holograms, watermarks or such? The finer details of making imitation more difficult when developing a bill is really quite interesting.

Yet no video of that ever showed up during the trail. I duckduckgo'ed it and found nothing. You know why? Because the owner himself said he wasn't at the store at the time it happened. You make yourself look bad when people fact check you.

“I was no there. The staff that called police followed protocol when he identified the bill was fake. The patron was out of the establishment when the police arrived, he was outside of the establishment which normally never takes place why he was still there were not sure,” Abumayyaleh said.

Owner Mahmoud Abumayyaleh says what happened on the street outside his establishment should never have ended with a man dying.

“Most of the times when patrons give us a counterfeit bill they don’t even know its fake so when the police are called there is no crime being committed just wat to know where it came from and that’s usually what takes place this was a very circumstantial event that ended in a tragedy and unfortunately we are taking a lot of animosity,” he said.

Forgive me if it does not, you say "one victim for that charge", but he has been charged with 3 convictions, and I do not understand how someone can be charged with second-degree manslaughter or third-degree murder if they have already been charged with second-degree unintentional murder, when there is only one victim.

I apologise if I seem stupid but here in the UK laws pertaining to crimes that resulted in the death of a victim are somewhat simpler, there's Murder, Manslaughter and Culpable Manslaughter, the punishment for these crimes varies wildly depending on the exact circumstances such as, whether or not it was premeditated or on the level of negligence involved, etc.

Yes & there's also a special pen you can use on the bill to determine if it's on the correct kind of paper that federal currency is printed on - I've worked in a business that had such a pen, before.

The trouble comes when people get a-hold of the paper used in real bills, usually by going through a process known as "washing" bills to erase the content of a lower bill & then print the face of a higher bill on it.

I think it's also worth mentioning that if someone gives you a fake bill & you don't catch it (which you very likely wouldn't) now you're the one spending with a fake bill. So people spending fake bills aren't necessarily aware that they're involved in a counterfeit scheme.

This is actually really important when it comes to Floyd because if he didn't make that bill then they just lost one of their leads for trying to track down where it came from, which the FBI & IRS would care very much about.

Afaik kneeling on the neck of a person is not common U.S. police tactic, or only one that knowingly can go hand-in-hand with potential serious injury or death. So "normal police formalities" hardly applies here. Even if that were regular procedure it should be questioned regardless. If I gave you a gun and told you to shoot every guy that only remotely appears dangerous to you, would you justify that as well with presumably "normal police formalities"? You are effectively skipping the fact that something is seriously wrong with in the U.S. as far as policing and/or use of deadly force is concerned.

I know a fair amount about legal jargon and this also has me confused. Those charges contradict each other. Murder implies you intended to kill someone, manslaughter implies it was an accident. He he accidentally intended to kill someone.
