[Stupidity in gaming industry] - Part 1 : "killing immersion with character customization".

I don't know why, but there is an increasing number of games that give stupid customization options in war themed games, pink tanks, colored weapons, stupid dances or poses, out-of-place dressings, you name them.

Personally I think this is ok in games for kids like Fortnite, but a Battlefield game? they are putting this stupid content that breaks immersion since last 3 games at least.
Soldiers are more like hollywood stars than real soldiers.

Its so stupid that kids don't stop to think that a red cap + golden weapon + purple painted tank will eventually be a "SHOOT HERE" sign.

I don´t know what you are talking about with passive agressive. Maybe it hurts you to be told something you didn't realized by yourself. Don't try going that way with me.

I've been given 2 alternatives, none of them comparable with a battlefield game, no vehicles and graphics from back to 1999.

It's not my fault if the alternatives are not replacing a battlefield game. Want to know why this is happening? because you can't recommend a game like that, it doesn't exist. Either you are stuck with a simulator (like ARMA or SQUAD) or you are stuck with again fortnite flavored FPS (like COD or Battlefield V). Why? because the playerbase (adults and kids) are all suffering from attention seeking problems. Companies won't stop giving you that goofy stuff because they sell them; on the other hand nobody is putting effort in making games a little more "mature".

You keep denying that the root of all those goofy things is plain simple attention seeking, that is why you need to "stand out" as someone else said.
You fail to understand that even those "customizations" are equally attainable by everyone else, hence the oxymoron of these "customizations".

What do you want? do you want to become a youtuber? because those are reaaaally attention seeking people. Is that why you need to put the goofy stuff in games? because as far as I know, in FPS games you cannot see yourself.

As I told you earlier. The more nitpicky you get the less available options you're going to find. The more things you ask the more money it'll cost a dev to please you.

And the more money ot costs to make a game the more chances it's going to target the broadest audience instead to try make that money back.

Your insistence in blaming everybody else about the things that trouble you is going to be the biggest hurdle in avoiding those annoyances.
