What state is the most best in the U.S?
Try not to get political but which state is the most oustanding in the United States? (Since U.S. has been quite failing a bit and wondering which state is still alive in the country.)

If your a citizen outside of the U.S. then try to research some states to think which state is the best.

I'll always vote Texas as the best state. Or at the very least the most independent state. When ♥♥♥♥ hits the fan Texas will probably do okay out of all other states. If it wasn't for our geography of being right near Mexico, the USA, and the Canadian trade routes we'd probably still be okay

Maybe...

This seems like something a bit different from being a strong, independent state, but perhaps there's just a few things to improve still:

...that doesn't sound all that independent, though.

Or even if we do still call this independent, the fact that there either weren't backup plans, or that every backup plan / system there was, was apparently poorly implemented enough that every one of them failed for a week, makes that seem like the state government was an irresponsible kind of "independent".

This shouldn't reflect upon the pride of individual Texans - I have some very close friends who are Texans, but they also shouldn't have had to go through this because the government didn't manage this system properly in order to ensure that there wouldn't be a total power & heating crisis for a week in the middle of winter.

I've been to most states and I think Alaska is hard to beat.

Everyone tends to mind their own business and people are really friendly if you are in trouble but overall they tend to just keep to themselves.

As long as you aren't in Anchorage I think its amazing, Anchorage though is just.... bad. Fairbanks or any of the other smaller cities are amazing though be prepared for high cost in foods.

Other than that I'd say Texas has a lot of gorgeous spots

I really love the terrain of the desert states. Everything looks so surreal. Maybe Arizona or Utah.

Try Nevada - it's way better than those other 2 options that you just mentioned (& still mostly desert). [Or Colorado - it's a much better desert choice too!]

In fact, those 2 [that you mentioned] are currently in my "top 12 worst states" list.

I lived 2 years in Death Valley, the desert attracts very strange people. The barren landscape isn't for everyone. In the resort I worked I led a betting pool where we used to guess how long new employees would last. We'd pick the day they'd just cut out, and if they lasted 2-3 weeks I figured they were permanent in which they'd get the betting pool. Someone won the pot more then the new hirer would stay.

I don't like it. I visited southern Arizona for a week once, and I don't like the lack of trees. I need forests, it's in my blood or something. I also need big water, which I'm sorely lacking in the middle of Florida right now. I'm used to living a stone's throw from Lake Michigan or the Atlantic Ocean -- having no big water near me throws off my internal compass somehow. I can't imagine Nebraska or any of the plains states.

I don't like it. ... I also need big water, ...

Utah has The Great Salt Lake - which you can even see from space.
(Don't drink from it, it's the saltiest water on Earth.)

...I wouldn't recommend going there at all still but... if you had to pick a desert with a big lake - there's an option for ya.

Canada isn't without problems either, you know.

Not sure how much predatory prosecution there is up in Canada but at least 1 Canadian felt the need to make an educational video about the issue.

Both!
There's a lot of activist movements claiming to be fighting racism...
...by being very racist themselves.

Then there's the people who are just racist in traditional ways & aren't even hiding it.

Unfortunately, we have too many people in this country, on both the left & the right, that have this bizarre idea that cameras of all kinds, even security cameras, wake up in a bad mood sometimes & just... make up... highly detailed images that show false information.

Can't trust those cameras, apparently, but you can believe the words of people in tweets & written statements. :^(

Which on this note...

I'm confused because - people on the left are telling me I should be voting on the right & people on the right are telling me that I should be voting on the left. :steammocking:

I dunno much about this topic as an European but I'm aware people are escaping California for Texas so that's what I'd pick.

right because years of good electrical diversity gets overshadowed because of 1 week of bad weather.

Tbh i'm not saying it wasn't because we weren't prepared but if you actually live in the state it's hot almost all year around even winter.

And yeah this was 100% the government's fault.

I'd say also california would be a little bit up there but their wildfires and infrastructure is actually pretty bad; politics aside.
I'd also throw my hat in the ring and say that atm Georgia and Arizona are actually some underrated states.
