The New Assassins Creed games are bad.

I cannot stand the new style of the AC games.. The new jump to action RPG like gameplay was a terrible idea imo for the franchise. I am supposed to be an assassin, someone who has to sneak around more, and do stealth missions, ect. This new idea that i am a warrior instead now, and to take out enemies i have to hit them 20 times in the face, or do some stupid ability that breaks immersion because they are so ridiculous. I know the old games combat could of been more difficult, and better, but i actually felt like an awesome assassin, meant to sneak past enemies and get to the target. Now i just feel like some brainless warrior hacknslashing away at everything and having find run away from enemies because they have some made up level, and are too strong to touch. It so lame imo. Last good AC game to me is Black Flag, tho it was action i still felt more assassin like. I played all of them, and finishing up Valhalla now. Origins, Odyssey, and Valhalla are at the bottom of my fav AC games.

Assassin's Creed franchise was dying, changing into an RPG saved the franchise. Don't know about Valhalla because it's not on steam, but Origins and Odyssey is the best selling AC games on steam in the franchise. Go to the steam store page and notice the amounts of reviews Odyssey and Origins got, they have WAY more reviews than all other AC game combined.

You can go with TOTALLY stealthy approach in all of those games with 1 shot kill. Just don't go to an area of higher level enemies when your own level is low. Visit them later.

Just because it sold more doesn't mean its better. lol Fortnite is one of the most played games, doesnt make it the best game out there. They could of improved the game, and changed a few things without turning it into some generic RPG. lol The stealth in the new games is trash, and clearly a second thought to the developers. Not being able to to just assassinate enemies because of some stupid level makes me dislike the game. Black Flag sold very well before Origins, the franchise wasnt in danger. lol It made it more popular with people who have bad taste in games, but overall the franchise became pretty generic, and not what it should of gone for game that has Assassin in its title imho.

Assassin part of the game is what makes it assassins creed.. lol Franchise isnt for everyone, but taking it out and making it the millionth RPG was a bad idea just to appease casuals.

That being said, the score is 86 and 7.4 user score on Metacritic (I reckon you most likely looked at the console version)

Now.. the reason I say it was an awful exprience for paying customers, was because of denuvo.. you see.. Ubisoft had this idea about 99% of PC gamers being thieves and they told us that... they said, we needed a lesson... so with denuvo and so forth.. they had me and other paying customers not be able to actually play the game we paid for... for days mind you...... it would dc, then kick you out of the game.. most of the time you could not even connect to start up the game..

Meanwhile... some of those people on a boat, played without issue... Now... do you understand my point now?..
The game itself was mediocre.. your standard Action Adventure with light RPG elements (that is still the formula) .... I guess it depends on the eyes that see ofc... but it really is a simplistic game and the story was not that good, but decent, I will give it that..

Props for admitting that, to be fair I was a bit harsh but I know from experience that saying stuff like that isn't a good move. I use to say that kinda stuff a lot when I was a teen, I was the kind of person who thought I was just always right and it was a very unhealthy way to go about things.

The game is fine and looks good, but the engine seems inefficient, and needs optimization. The thing needs to render at normal frame rates, and not be a slide show. Even if I turn the graphics all the way down, its still awful. That can't be good, if it doesn't scale properly.

Everything is subjective... we are all biased... But I reckon the most likely reponse you will get from people that owned AC2 on PC, would be the same in terms of the DRM issues and not being able to play.

There is also no hostility.. but there is countering of mere statements from the other user, that turned up the user score to try and make an argument... (the premis was weak even without me countering it..)
