Keyboard and mouse replacement suggestions?
Been using a logitech g11 since 2006 and never seen much of a replacement for it, it still works but recently the key I use to sprint in games sticks(kp0) so I need to replace this old pof. I dont care for g keys but I want a gamemode lock and volume wheel and mute key and all that play pause next stuff. Im a clawer so I cant have any of those fragile keyboards with keys sticking outside the keyboard frame or ill just rip em out eventualy.

As for the mouse Iv been using 3 times a logitech mx518, 2 side keys is good enough to me, I prefer the weight of a wired mouse since all wireless ones I tried were so light Id end up having them slip off my hand.

While at it any bluetooth 4+ wireless headphones with next song buttons that needs one tap and holding for raising the volume thats hd but not highend? Mine atm needs me to hold the volume key to switch to the next song, dumbest design ever.

Have you tried cleaning the sticky keys? At bare minimum, q-tip and alcohol in between them, or an eyedropper of rubbing alcohol around them and mashing it repeatedly and then leaving it to dry overnight.

For more in-depth, pop out most of the keys (except the long ones like shift and spacebar that have the wire running under them), put them in a mesh bag in the dishwasher, and go over the rest of it with brush, vacuum and rubbing alcohol qtips.

My keyboard is 15 years old I DO NOT want to even see the ♥♥♥♥ inside it, besides the movement keys have nail cuts into them, Im overdue to change.
There's this[www.amazon.com] one if you want to try something low price.

Highly recommend:

Corsair K70 LUX RGB keyboard with the CHERRY MX RGB Brown keys. This is the best keyboard I've found so far for hardcore gaming. If budget isn't a problem, then the Corsair K100 for one of the fastest gaming keyboards (0.5ms response and 4000Hz polling rate).

Logitech G series mouse, such as G903 Lightspeed with Hero Sensor (ensure it's the Hero Sensor model and not the previous one which is also called G903). It's wireless, but has an optional cable to connect. Consider using a Razer Goliathus Speed Edition mouse pad with it, if you have the desk space, as it will work well with that sensor, boosting movement speed while keeping the accuracy. Logitech G series is based upon the MX518 (which had an optical sensor), old school hardcore gaming mouse which is built to last.

Steam has a hardware/OS forum maybe ask there also OP.

On off topic people like me use generic wired keyboard and mouse from cheapo marts.

Like I said I cant use those keyboards with keys sticking out of the frame since I would rip them out eventually.
I'm going to just say DO NOT get Razer products.

Corsair do good mechanical keyboards, like the K90 LUX

As for mouse I can recommend a Steelseries Sensei//Rival

Just trust me when I say do not buy Razer, horrible quality products that break easily and cost a fortune for something that feels and performs like a much cheaper product.
Current mouse I'm using is a Utech Smart Venus.

Most recent keyboard I got is a Fiodio FGKB100. It's a bit clicky, but solid and a fair bit cheaper than the newest Red Dragons and stuff.

It's okay if you take them out though, unless you're doing it by accident while gaming. The keys can be pulled off and swapped.
I've been using Logitech Trackman Marbles since they were white without the 2 extra buttons found on the newer grey ones (probably 2 decades.)

Once you switch to an ergonomic trackball and you train your hand to use it (about a week for most folks) then you'll never go back to any kind of mouse for input.

I introduced 3 other people to these gems and they concur. Only downside is Logitech Setpoint software is chonky and it has no scrollwheel - which is not a terribly huge ordeal but can be a little extra work for gamers.

Keyboards I prefer non-mechanical membrane keys because I'm a gamer not a scrivener. I recently got a Pictek RGB keyboard that handles my pounding abuse like a champ. And the pretty colours I can customize more than most RGB keyboards.

Best if you could test drive input devices but that begs to ask oneself: does one really want to be handling input devices other people have sneezed, bled, slobbered, and sweat upon?
Anything but Razer and you'll be fine. :)
