SHMUPS recomendation?

I know weird place to ask this kind of question but I asked it before on few game threads and its quiet, I played "sky force reloaded" and the game was really good and I would like to play something similar. I know that some older games are worth playing but not now (I dont want pixel 8bit like games and published before 2000)

there are probably more but I don't know much about modern ones. There's also Cotton REBOOT which is good but for that price it just isn't worth it. If you ever get in a mood for 90s goodness, Progear and Giga Wing are must play.

This is bullet hell in standard difficulty but has a setting for easy mode which turns it into a more accessible shmup ... It is honestly worth the "git gud" effort and leaves ikaruga and almost everything else in the dust.
