Let's just say that me, Angel and Bunnie know a few things.
We're not claiming to be experts but we've been around the block a few times.
Don't you worry about that.
So have I, yet I don't feel entitled to lecture everyone about it because I look down on them.
TBH, I went to munches for years and never met anyone particularly interesting. Then, a scandal came out where we discovered the hosts of these munches (and other events) had been committing hundreds of consent violations for years and getting away with it by their privileged positions as members of "high status" in that community.
Kinda hard for me to see those things in a positive light after that, imo he probably dodged a bullet.

Pretty sure "involuntary" was originally used as a subtle hint at 'victimhood.'
So it's a self victimizing thing?
Bingo. All the complaining is about feeling oneself as a victim, removing even the slightest possibility that at least a part of the problem could be self-imposed. It's always "them" who is at fault. There is no introspection.

My advice is to take the necessary steps to improve your mental health and make meaningful relationships. Doesn't have to be romantic. Baby steps.
