As for modern conspiracy theories I think we went through a period where most right-wing conspiracy theories were shown to be true. Look a the pandemic. How often did left-wing establishment push bad -/false information that litereally got people killed, whereas the right were being told that taking Ivermectim was the mental equvilent to eating horse paste.
In this day of age the craziest conspiracy are all left-wing conspiracies.
Look at the very topic we're talking about "Trump called veterans suckers and losers" that's a conspiracy theory. Zero proof it happened.
With Trump, his opponents tend to be those conspiracy theory types.
-Conspiracy theory that Trump was a Russian Spy or the conspiracy theory that Trump wants to bring about the third reich. Or that various other theory/belief systems that dont' quite fall into conspiracy theory but are equally unabelieavable. Hillary Clinton and others are election deniers and claim that Russia stole the election from them to give it to Trump.
There's conspiracy theoriests that Trump had a secret army on Jan 6th or that Jan 6th was an insurrection.l There's conspiracy's about Trump trying to wrestle the steering wheel from a secret service driver. There's conspiracy theories all over the place to the point where mainstream media doesn't have credbility.
I know my side gets labeled as rejecting the science for not supporting the mainstream democrat believe that men can get pregnant. And maybe we are wrong, maybe women can have a penis and us right-wingers are just too ignorant to be taught any better.
At the end of the day with all this misinformation out there, people have to makeup their own minds on what's sane and what's gaslighting.
I know, once the media said something, it tends to stick weather it's true or not.
Look at Robert De Niro at the moment, being hated from all sides just because he is viewing his democratic right to free speech even if you agree or disagree with his opinion. De Niro like trump and others have every right to express a opinion.
PS... I don't agree with what De Niro is saying
I've actually heard something like that on CNN. My father watches CNN religiously and he just HAS to let me know what's going on.
Trump could put people on Mars with Elon Musk and the media would say he's going there to drain it of its resources.
"Make Mars...great!"
If these folks want to trample on the idea that free speech doesn't belong here, and that society should be a place where certain things can't be said, why shouldn't we embrace it?
Why should we play the role of the good guys and giving people we dislike the platform to spew their so-called hate?
