Trump had already signed with the US military withdraw and that was not given time to withdraw those weapons. It would of taken approx 5-6 months to withdraw all the equipment. Trump signed to have them all gone by 1st May 2021, which is impossible to withdraw the equipment in that time frame.

You should be rather asking why Trump had a private meeting with only the Talibans and not Joe Biden nor the Afghanistan government. Trump had a prisoner exchange of 1000 US troops for 5000 Taliban prisoners, which including the leader of the Taliban that then took over Afghanistan.

If it wasn't for Trump himself, that Taliban leader would of never been freed to take it over in the first place.

Trump previously claims this as his own achievement on GOP, later to remove it and blame Joe Biden instead. Then even blame the Afghanistan government for freeing those Talibans as Trump had previously required them to do.
