Sounds about right as most mass produced dry foods are not always clean (dust or even nasties like glyphosate used as a dessicant)

if you soak raw almonds in water overnight they are more nutritious but have to be eaten asap.

You should probably rinse any mass produced produce before ingestion, just to get rid of any film or pesticide coating.
you wont like learning about cocoa or chocolate then.

lead levels really high cause machines and leaded gas in africa

You will quickly discover a kitchen cannot function without water.

I wash everything. EVERYTHING. Carrots, potatoes, nuts, raisins, everything gets washed because no one wants to be eating cancer causing pesticides.
We could have actual food safety standards in place at their production points, but instead it's totally okay for producers to sell tainted food and we've made it the customer's "fault" if they get sick.

It's literally legal in the US to sell chicken that is 20-40% contaminated with salmonella, depending on the cut.

In many parts of Europe, just from basic safety and sanitation practices, salmonella is practically eradicated. Here? Nah, gotta maximize profits! We can't spend money on public health! Pffff!

When will people realize TPTB place zero value on our lives and will never hesitate to harm us for their benefit?

I mean, to wash off the stupid amount of salt that comes with most processed nuts maybe. Otherwise what.
