Why is it illegal for men to use testosterone to gain muscle mass, but using it to swap genders is totally fine?

You're more likely to cause your glands to produce LESS of it with external intake.
caise using it is a two edged sword..

on the one end.. yes it will cause you to gain muscle.. even when not training.
and when you are training it helps you gain it faster.

On the other end.. it makes the stuff down there to scrink...makes you bald much faster than you otherwise would.... has dangerous moodswings while using and highly increases your chance for cancer.

it is these last 2 effects why this faustian trade of is not worth it.
and why it is only used on prescription with a controlled dose for man who naturally produce to little/had to have one or both testes removed due cancer and now cannot produce it (enough) themselves.

could a medical specialist guide normal man in limited testorone use without hitting those 2 most negative effects? probably.. after all training does lower testosterone a little too.. and if you pair microdosis of it you could train more frequent.. but the dose likely would be much lower than what those who are after quick gains want..
I cannot fathom doctors EVER greenlighting it to people who aint even hitting the gym today.
-> even than atletes that trained using injections of the stuff and those without have quite diffent looking bodies..so it is not so straightforward either...

people who are confused about their gender should be given therapy to come to terms and accept the body and the gender they were born as.. as we always did.: not given hormones and operations.
society is wrong in how they adress that issue today.

Testosterone is a natural byproduct of the body, I don't think it's actually illegal to use, even in competitive nature.

However overuse of it as a supplement means your body will begin to produce less of it naturally.
It has effects on your body. Over-saturation leads to a lot of illnesses, the very first one i foresee for an athlete is myocardiac muscles swelling until the heart can no longer properly function.

In sports? For safety I guess.
Not a guess, a truth.

But for anyones wish to know more, just look at the "Tour de France" with bikes and you'll get the full spectrum of cheats possible - in an long enought timespan. Not that any one sport hasnt it's chemical cheaters (... maybe excluding Curling ... ? But is it a sport to begin with ??), just that bicycle race has doublegood mediatic exposure (and lot of prevalence).

they're similar drugs, but they are formed to concentrate on an area of male health, with a different treatment philosophy for each.

androgenic hormone is responsible for male characteristic - this is what you use when you need hormone therapy, it does cause some muscle growth but its not like anabolics. A doctor can administer this therapy to men who had delayed puberty or hormonal fluctuation that is outside the norm. the therapy has been available the entire time here, just the whole gender ideology thing shined a spotlight on it.

anabolic hormone is the one that gives you the physique like markus ruhl, rich piana, greg kovacs.

there's also several differing issues here.

1- anabolics are usually imported internationally from low quality pharmacies, which is probably partially responsible for most steroid-based fatalities.

2- most gymbros do not regulate or have a physician overseeing and regulating their usage. a good example is young sam sulek. he's not monitoring the side effects to his anabolic usage, and is quickly developing a nice set of gyno nipples/breasts.

The steroids also make a lifter pretty stubborn and feel invincible, so they tend to keep overdosing and disregard advice.

the anabolic is illegal because of the explosive muscle growth, the danger is that it affects all muscles. Your heart is one of those muscles. when your left heart valve gets too big, it stops working. and without your heart, its 100% fatal. All users of anabolics will reach this point, on a long enough timeline.

Many users of anabolics with amazing physiques died in their early 40's. for a user to survive to 60 or 80 years of age, its nothing less than absolute luck that their heart could support the additional size. Not every man can support an enlarged heart muscle. Once you start anabolics, the timebomb starts ticking.

It's called TRT.

Testosterone Replacement Therapy

Talk to your doctor. They'll test your T levels and go from there.

the use of steroids in order to gain an advantage is not allowed during competition because it is done for the sake of gaining an advantage

hormone replacement therapy involves a variety of procedures, including regular blood testing, hormones, and hormone blockers, as well as medication for any potential side effects, all controlled by a doctor
and it is done specifically for the patient's health, not as a way to gain any sort of advantage in any competition

Performance enhancing drugs are illegal because you're importing something your body doesn't naturally create on its own to succeed in an athletic competition.

You're essentially asking why it's wrong to do wrong.

Testosterone is a performance enhancer, so using it is cheating. It would be like asking why you are not allowed to use an aimbot in a tournament, because "halo allows aim assist on controllers."
It's not illegal, but getting a prescription can be hard in some countries even if you are at 90 year old man levels of T, as long as you're in the "normal" range.

For women who one day decide they're men it seems to be a bit too easy in comparison.
Back in the day, when Society was directed towards stability, people recognized the dangers of hormone regimens and so they were regulated.
These days, our leaders welcome these forms of chaos. Anything to keep people from stability which allows higher schools of thought to occur in our minds.
It's no coincidence that this lines up with a de-regulation of illegal drugs and the lowering of standards in food production.
They want unhealthy irrational people because they cant make informed decisions.

I imagine their doctor will tell them about that before prescribing anything to them.
