Thank you.
For the most part things are looking up- and I needed it.
I went out again last night and the crowds were kinda weird. This holiday should be second only to New Years and should be a BLOWOUT!. I really don't like the direction that much of America is going in.
Today is a day to do all kinds of work around the house and tomorrow I am going to attend some of the local celebrations and hopefully it will be good.
I want everyone to make some attempts at getting out, It rarely is perfect the first time- and that is going to mean sometimes toughening up and expending some effort.
Too many these days are so soft that if things aren't perfect the first time they set foot out the door they go into a shell and quit on life.
When they go out clearly not caring about their appearance and hygiene, radiating out such a bad attitude... they are creating their own negative experience. There are reasons why nobody wants to go near them.
Then there are things like setting foot outside and then burying the face in the phone, doing things like only coming out with groups of weird people- meaning that nobody new is going near them...
It isn't that there isn't anything to do or nowhere to go. People gotta stop being their own worst enemies, put a smile on their face and be the kind of person that people want to be around.
If you generally don't like me, first of all, you have ♥♥♥♥ taste, and now's a good time to ♥♥♥♥ off and stop reading.
But seriously.
The only true requirements of life are food, water, and sleep. The barriers and 'middlemen' that we have in this world all exist solely to keep people "in their place" and stop certain powers, resources, and rights from ever changing hands from the elite to the general population.
It doesn't even slightly have to be this way: everything could and should be much more equal across the board, but the population just accepts the corruption.
And the 'secret' reason that most people accept it is this: they have been sold the power fantasy that if they suck capitalism's warty, syphilitic ♥♥♥♥ hard enough, THEY could be the one "at the top" oppressing everybody else. (This of course is a complete lie - nobody becomes a billionaire on an hourly salary)
That's right. The average human is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the head by all the brainwashing and crab mentality that this society bombards us with, that they don't even want to stop the oppression. Hell, they won't even fight against their own oppression: they'll accept a job they hate, and make excuses to themselves about it, just so long as someone sells them the myth that by climbing the corporate ladder, maybe one day they could hold the whip and beat someone else with it.
~~~
If you're happy being an abused work slut for your whole life, fine. But stop dragging the rest of us down with you just because you refuse to fight for yourself and don't want anyone else to win this battle that you're too cowardly to step up to.
It started off a bit negative- but ultimately, yes a bunch of those points are right on it.
For most people, working 9 to 5 is not security. Not really.
If most people want to break out of being a wage slave they either or going to have to work harder, or smarter, start a business... something. Just showing up and bringing nothing unique or valuable to the table is a recipe for a rough ride.
If people want to break out of that nasty cycle, they gotta bust a move and do something.
Look into the DC population, percentage of people on HUD.
The plantations never ended.
economically that can't possibly work unless the jobs are exploitative in nature, to recoup the money from not working.
otherwise, the job would be unnecessary. the economy could simply sustian itself by subsidizing everyone and letting people who wanted to work work.
the extremely wealthy would lose their way of life though. no more almost-free labor.
