I still play NES and SNES games.
Good, the longer they stick around, the longer I can put off upgrading my pc.

PC has made PS5 and Series X obsolete. You can buy their exclusives on PC.

I'm happier with my NES/SNES mini than a PS4 or 5. I still have a Wii with Gamecube compatibility, N64, Sega Dreamcast, NES, and Sega Genesis with Sega Master System adapter.

Not too long ago, I got a special HDMI adapter for my old PS2 slim; it improve image clarity on these HD flatscreens that we have nowadays. PS2 is backwards compatible with PS1, and my PS3 slim has its own HDMI compatibility. So I'm I'm set with the Playstations.

Now I just need to get one of those things for the old Nintendo adapter... (SNES, N64, and NGC, but mostly the NGC)
Nintendo® is the only family of consoles worth having.

PC will do anything MS-Box and PlaySony can do.

I can see quite a few reasons why that would be the case... its kinda like the PS1
all over again

...I thought it was pretty cool to see the PS1 be supported for quite a few years there

xD
I liked what games the PS3 offered on hard copy. My PS3 slim was also capable of running my PS1 games, using virtual memory cards rather than one designed for the original console (like with the PS2.

Only other two consoles I used from that era were the Nintendo ones: the DS and the Wii. The DS was pretty much an improvement over the limited GBA (going from a low-res SNES to a low-res N64, if going by ports alone). I didn't get to check out the DSI ware until I got a 3DS, though. But I still use my DS for running my old GBA games (no back-lit GBA here, just the original model).

The Wii, however, is perhaps my least favorite console. I found the new controller system too much of a hassle. My most played Wii title on that console was Smash Bros Brawl, because it accepted my (arguably more superior) old Gamecube controller, with the majority of all other hours going to N64 ports, which also accepted that controller.

I greatly appreciate how the Switch has a controller that can behave like a basic wireless gamepad. The switch also is the result of them combining their portable and flagship static product lines. So less consoles to juggle. Albeit, Nintendo portable console ports usually end up as very different and potentially better games than their main TV console counterparts. It is still too weak to run Subnautica in a manner that I find tolerable(?) though. (I hadn't tried the Wii-U, but I suspect that the massive tablet controller may be a put-off for me too, like with the initial Wii.)
