how can you do it?

i grow even 1 inch longer hair and i feel heavier itchier and overall more uncomfortable.
it's also a hassle to clean your hair longer than when shorter


same with people with long nails
i get even 4 cms longer and i feel like trimming them. Lord knows how those ladies with the 12 inch long nails do everyday activities and keep their nails clean.

Used to have long hair in my headbanger days.
You got to take care of long hair and it does not itch.

Use Shampoos, Conditioners that are marketed for Women. The Shampoos that are marketed for man are in my experience low quality.

You got to brush it with a fine toothed comb daily for 10+ minutes.

Use coconut oil and massage your scalp.

As it was said, it does takes some more care than having short hairt to not look like a hippie

For me it’s a core part of self-expression and my sense of personal identity to have my hair long. A combination of teenage rebelliousness, as a result of having a very controlling father that wanted to dictate who I was, along with being heavily into fantasy media which often depicts men with long hair as either heroic warriors or “cool” villains (Zuko from ATLA, Snape from HP, etc.).

I’m fine with putting up with any of the drawbacks of long hair - which, yeah, there definitely are some annoyances that come with it - because I like having it that way. It’s what I consider to be the “real me” and represents what I value.
