Yes, but not good changes
todd howard it's more plausible
If you consider making things worse significant.
Chauvin should have let him breathe, biggest mistake of his life.

police brutality, over use in legal force, abuse in power, has these thing changed?
nothing changed really for me,now i work as a waiter in a restaurant ,i dont hesitate for one second to sit down catch my breathe, sometimes i dont mind if i am sitting on someone`s throat .
Surprised something like this hasn't happened sooner with American police forces. Their level of aggression in dealing with criminals often borders on reckless and unreasonably excessive in the use of force in some instances. In the hands of officers who substitute their own personal right and wrong within the force, there becomes a tendency to misuse that authority and use of force.

I know that Floyd was involved in some bad things and he wasn't the most cooperative individual due to his personality, but even so, the level of force used.... Floyd was already on the ground and subdued at that point, taking the knee off the neck when he said he can't breathe should have been appropriate, yet it wasn't done. that was a conscious choice on the part of Chauvin not to heed the request.

As far as i'm concerned, white, black, yellow or otherwise matters not to me, but when one person kills another like that, they deserve what they get in punishment for that final act that killed someone. I'm not concerned what Chauvin has to say up to the point leading to the death, that's not relevant, what's relevant to me is that one choice not to take his knee off Floyd's neck when it was clear he should have, that's what i find most relevant of all.

Now as for the BLM movement? that was hijacked like most social justice issues are by American politicians and they charged and turned it into an evil thing most want nothing to do with any more. Can't help you with that, since it's not the same as the movement that started out originally.
nope - human deaths are insignificant in the grand scheme of things

But the entire spectrum of American social progress is just those movements getting hijacked over and over. You're glorifying a dead past in a present time where its corpse is actively defiled.

Isn't this kind of 'paddling the donkey,' so to speak?
If gaming journalists thinking Resident Evil 5 is somehow racist now, it didn't help.
not 10 minutes before that, some public servants in blue uniform, requested the person to stop for a regular check up. Resistance to authorities, can have dire consequences. Of course, that shouldn't include lethal force, especially whenever unnecessary... But displaying illegal behaviors, makes somebody potentially dangerous to civic matters.

When somebody in duty asks you to let them do their job, it is in your best interests to help them do their job, doing your part as a civilian. You do not play "hero" or "cop killa". There are rules, laws and social roles, out there. We should all do our part and even, help others do theirs. Not hinder them.

So you're saying society should have helped hold Floyd down while he was being choked.

Or like, taken a picture?

Never heard about him.
So I had to look it up. Seems like he had a rather long criminal history of drug possession, theft, trespass, and aggravated robbery with a deadly weapon.

It seems like he died under an arrest, where the cop did take proper safety into account and that is not acceptable either. A story of two criminals one could say.
Reminds me of a story of 2 cops trying to arrest each other.
Yes - it got more people to start pulling their camera's out whenever the police are around.

What i said is, when a chubby person who likes donuts and wears blue, requests you to stop so they can check you, you stop and let them check you. Not panic, runaway, or trying to escape.
