Sounds like you need to read some philosophy. People were having the thoughts you're having before we were even keeping what year it was. Reading the most important literature of human history helps you to not feel so alone in this thinking- we all suffer in our own way. If we didn't, we'd have no metric for what happiness is.

"Everything" goes downhill here because downhill is all human civilization can do.

Unfortunately, it's pretty difficult to get away from civilization these days, because people want to travel take selfies and toss their lunch trash everywhere in the world that they can. And tourism industries want to sell them the hotel room they sleep in use as their garbage staging ground.


At this point, my strategy is just to leave the screeching monkeys alone and focus on doing what they *should* be doing, which is bringing us even with the actual Chief ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥(s) or vice versa, more realistically
