Is this Steam Game Idler safe to use?
So I found this Steam Game Idler thing on reddit https://github.com/probablyraging/steam-game-idler

I know technically it probably breaks ToS, but I'm more curious if any programming savvy people would be able to look at the code and determine if it's safe to use or not because I know nothing about coding?

Thanks

Appreciate it. I've used other popular idlers but this has a nice UI (plus linux server support) so I'd like to use it if someone can confirm it's safe to do so

Might be a dumb question but, what is a game idler?

I'm going to assume it's software that allows you to appear as running the game from the steam client's perspective, without actually running the game.
People usually do this to extract their steam card drops from games they don't actually want to install and play.

Also no, those types of software can get you banned.
Compile it then run it through virustotal.com .

I've been usinga bunch of different idlers for years with no issue, I don't think steam really cares TBH

Thanks, I just did that and it didn't flag it as a virus or anything, so should I be right to use it you think?
