He wasn't actually a real samurai, though. People just keep saying he was, even though none of the Japanese sources describe him as such. He was a servant.

Well for one thing, whether you're for your against this ragebait thing it doesn't change the fact the average consumer is the lowest common denominator and doesn't care enough to pay attention to this stuff. They just consume, and people are still consuming Ubisoft's games. Apparently Valhalla still made 1 billion dollars, btw. The next game after made a lot less (only 250 million) but I don't even remember hearing people talk about that one. I guess it wasn't controversial enough.

Dude was a retainer to Nobunaga, he was apparently a slave brought by Portuguese Christian missionaries and they offered him to that legendary samurai guy and he kinda liked the guy then after some time Nobunaga died and Yasuke got sold again, nothing is quite clear if he was really a bushido with proper training no one just know this.

Edit: Apparently they aren't sure if the missionaries were Italian or Portuguese but apparently they were mixed fleets from both countries that's a minor detail.

Also at best Yasuke was in japan for as long as 3 years max he just left the place after.
