for example when I was involved ina car accident with wire mesh kneecaps, and the doctor decided that removing my kneecaps entirely was the solution. rather than repairing easily-reparable damage with biocompatiable meshes that self-replenish.

Lot of them are so used to their chopping work that they can`t even imagine their patient being freaked out about this or their situation.
