If it was a matter of training the dog properly, this number wouldnt be so high for pitbull attacks because people mistrain dogs of all types, theres no evidence that people mistrain pitbulls specifically more than any other, but there is evidence that pitbulls are more dangerous and aggressive which is the whole point of the OPs question.
