Pitbulls should be banned and phased out
If a dog breed needs special laws then it was bred poorly

ma'am dont give people what they want to hear that dogs can be actually trained
Most other dog breeds don't need to be trained not to kill people.

Pitbulls are extremely dangerous and unpredictable. They must be banned.

I have raised Staffordshires (Pit's) for years, I have 4 right now. They are the sweetest and most loving breed of dog that I have ever had the pleasure to spend time with. They also require a strong, firm and responsible leader. I never let my dogs out of my sight in public and I have made certain that my yard (almost 2 acres) is securely fenced and that they cannot dig out or go over. They are a physically strong breed that requires care and responsibility from their owners just as any large, strong breed of animal does.

The fact that some dog breeds are actual abominations shouldn't be questionned and all these breeds can be fixed in theory, just do it.

If you can undo centuries of selective breeding for a particular trait in an animal, in the case of pitbulls, violence and aggression, just by raising them a certain way, then you would be able to raise a chihuahua to be large, or a Dalmation to not have spots. Once something is baked into the genetics, you're not getting it back out by raising a single individual a certain way.

How much damage are they capable of? A Chihuahua isn't going to kill someone, unlikely to even cause permanent damage.
Idk man my niece got one of the biggest chihuahua i've seen i still don't want to be bit by it. But it's true he still didn't do permanent damage when he bit peoples.

Crossbreeding exist though and it has been done for pugs but i agree the pitbull situation is bad enough.

People do not realize that the term "Pitbull" drives clicks for profit. 90% of the so called Pitbull attacks are done by other breeds.

And actual pitbull mixes though, Pitbulls are still part of the problem especially if called cupcake, but other dog breeds are just too dangerous like wtf is wrong with huskies and German sheperds attacks these days anyways?

In temperament tests operated by the American Temperament Test Society, pit bulls were rated the second-most tolerant. The most tolerant dog was the Golden Retriever, and the least tolerant was the Chihuahua.

It has been said that the pit bulls' jaws lock and that they have the most powerful bite among dog breeds. This has made people wary of their temperament, but neither of these statements is true. Their jaws do not lock, and the dog with the most powerful bite is actually the Rottweiler.

Pugs are another unfortunate example of something people have done to dogs for ridiculous reasons. So many medical issues because someone somewhere thought it'd look cute.
