Every single human i met for the last two decades share this point of view. Pitbulls are extremely dangerous creatures and untrustworthy.

theyre gentle

Been around pit bulls all my life and and i have not seen one maul anyone. They will slobber all over your face when they lick you but i have never seen a pit bull maul anyone. The ones that do are the ones badly trained and it's not their fault it's their owners fault.

So with that i say.

i had a few pitbulls over the years and each one was extremely gently, not even aggressive.

i did community work with SPCA for short period and i can say, it is pretty much the owners of the dogs who are to blame and not the dogs. most of the time people either abuse the dogs or use them in dog fights.

Hell the dogs i owned over the years, pitbull, boerbull, jack russel, dalmation, border collie, labrador, and a few other breads, as well few of pavement specials and each one was not aggressive. so unfortunately like i said, it is not the dog but the owner who's at fault. so banning the dog won't help, but more laws should be put into place and more help for dog shelters to do inspections of property and background checks of potentional owners can go a long way
