But if you had to choose an FPS for the long term, you should pick whichever has the best single player. Multiplayer dies quick. You might get a game in a year and find the online community already dead or in single digits.
If you're just talking about the short term, I'd go with whatever FPS has the best-looking MP. Single player games are usually linear and have zero replay-ability. Sixty bucks to play a linear 12-hour campaign once every two years? That's a freaking joke. Wait two years and they'll be selling it for five dollars.
