Is the Wii U really bad?

Some people have been saying the Wii U is bad and that it isone of the worst Nintendo consoles. Is that really true that its bad? No... some of the people who say its bad dont even have the Wii U. The Xbox One also gets hate like the Wii U. Some people say the Xbox One is bad even though they dont have it. The Wii U has great games like Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD and Mario Kart 8 and many more. SSB4 and Hyrule Warriors will be released later this year!

It really is kind of ridiculous to say a console is bad because of it's graphics capabilities. I still play Wii games, and although they aren't 720p or 1080p like on my Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 or even Wii U (or even better, PC), it's only something you notice initially (when first starting up a game) or during a direct comparison. Otherwise, you don't really think about it. At least, I don't.

I play mostly the first-party Nintendo games (on my Nintendo hardware), so they're usually pretty well optimized for the Wii, which I'm sure makes a difference. In fact, I've only played maybe three non-Nintendo games on the Wii (and only four out my 32 Wii games are not first-party). Exclusives are often what sell and what make a console great, and both the Wii and Wii U have great exclusives.

Also FYI the reason they usually make 2 diffrent kinds of pokemon games for each generation is because if there was only one for each which had all pokemon, What would be the point of trading?

And May I ask what's diffrent about CoD games? No really i'd like to know.

CoD was revolutionary a long time ago, where it made FPS a favored game genre.
Now, it just shows you why FPSes have become generic.

I very recently brought the Wind Waker bundle. The gamepad feels very nice to handle and the buttons are well placed, and I like how you can do things with it such as change the inventory in real-time. I especially like how you don't have to use those horrible motion controls that was essentially the whole reason for the Wii's existence.

The specs, of course, remain my biggest criticism of the Wii U. It's the one thing that'll ensure that it won't get even a fraction of the multiplats that the PS4 and Xbone will get.

Wii U doesnt have Half life or any of the games I remember loving, so I think Wii is better off with handheld stuff. Plus the graphics look horrible so Xbox One is probably Heaven compared to a Wii U

The different CoD games have different stories but theyre the same thing. Half life however is a better example. Pokemon is just a whole bunch of...Pokemon and a same storyline were all you do is walk around and press things to fight. Thats kind of fun. Half life, on the other hand, always had a neat story, and it left us ALWAYS wanting more. Pokemon could barely be beaten before the made another Pokemon game. Plus WII is the only console that doesnt have any good horror games. They all look like wierd anime things with blood and screaming.And half the pokemon look wierd...

Look it all really depends.

As a pc gamer mostly next gen doesn't have that much meaning to me. But okay, I get it, you get better and less dated hardware on a next gen Xbox and PS. Cool. But what do you consider next gen? Better graphics and framerates or having to blow air in a controller to progress to a next stage of a game? It's one thing you have to ask yourself, what am I looking for?

When it comes to graphics, I'm actually quite fond of the graphics on the Wii U. Like I've heard some people before say: 'They still use color in their games!' Wii U's hardware just lends itself perfectly for, for instance something I never in my life thought I'd like: 'Lego Marver Super Heroes'. I played it on pc and it seemed fun but I figured it's more of a console game and Wii U seems the best version for it.

People say they don't have big games. Sidenote: you can play old Wii games on Wii U too, firstly so something like Twilight Princess is about sixty hours long. Plus the franchises like CoD and Mass Effect three to name two are available on Wii U also.

The interface is extremely user friendly, internet access is great, loading times are generally very short, ...

And I believe you still buy Nintendo because mostly the exclusives. The new Mario Kart and Super Mario are great, as is Pikmin and Wondeful 101. And after E3 it seems obvious that some of the best games of 'this console generations' are yet to be released and a decent part of them will be on Nintendo.

Nostalgia is undeniable though, I must admit. My last console was a SNES and I've always said I wanted a new Nintendo system, a new Zelda, a Paper Mario and whatnot but I waited this long so obviously I'm going to be more impressed by them than someone who's owned a Gamecube or whatever. For me, I'm super happy with these new games and the virtual console which lets you play the older games the ones that perhaps even ten years ago I wanted to get but didn't.

But my biggest point in discussing with my wife on why to get Nintendo and not the other systems is that the games on those systems rarily are or remain exclusives. Usually they get realed on pc at the same time or sooner or later they get a port. So I prefer to have a system that has something completely different to offer.

Just a part of my two cents.
