Steam vs Uplay Level Up System.
For the ones who care about levels:

Which one you prefer, level up by cards drop plus trade/buy cards and badge craft (Steam method) or level up by specific actions while playing the games (Uplay method).

Personally, I'm with Uplay on that. What you guys thoughts on that?

uplay has better level up and achievement system. you get cool in-game unlocks/rewards and store discount for getting achievements. I don't really care about steam's trading cards and badges.

Yes, I really like how they distribute the XP and Unit Club currency to lvl up and buy extra content.

Uplay duh, but usually I wont care about levels anyway, its just that I can use showcases acquired from levelling up on steam for my artworks

I don't care for achievements but I have to admit that the point system uPlay has is quite enjoyable.

Kinda reminds me of redeeming tickets in the arcade for prizes.

Well, I mean, they could just as easily do that stuff IN the game, not in the client.
It's only possible to do that because they tie the games to the client to begin with.
Now it's even more tied.

levels are garbage, reminds me of how you can see a person's total karma on reddit

I like the whole level by achievement idea, but it could only truly be implemented on console because there's a big negative impact in the PC aspect of gaming. It's tied too much to cheating and there's plenty of achievement granting software out there to prove that it's easy to avoid having to actually do something to unlock an achievement.

But of them both I particularly dislike the Steam one the most, there's hardly any trading about it and it just felt more like gambling every day.I finally lost interest in my personal level on here and this is where I'll stop.

I'll only level now with sets I can complete for free and during events.
