Possibly a 200 comments limit per day. It's not actually mentioned, but will come up with a “You’ve been posting too frequently” error, so there is a spamming cap limit in the coding either via time period or per day.

People have only tested this cap on their own profile comments, never in the Steam Forums, as a mod will likely just come along and ban you for spamming well before that limit is reached. Do it upon another person's profile comments and they too could report you as a spammer.

The cap also changes perhaps accordingly to friends vs non-friends and your Steam level?

A limited account is rate limited to only allow a small amount of posts per day. Again it doesn't suggest the amount, but could be like 3 to 25 posts.

Non-friend post spamming is also similarly limited.

Not sure. I reached that cap once years ago though by just posting in the forums in general. It is not hard to do if you talk with other people on the forums long enough.

Is it a rolling count? Can you post 200 and then ONLY one more 24 hours after your first post in the sequence or does it reset at the same time each day?

But don't anybody TRY to find this out by direct testing. You'll be stopped way before you reach that limit.
