I use plastic grocery bags in my bathroom trash can. Then I tie it up and set it out with the other trash.

Grocery stores in my area have mostly phased them out.

It was mostly just an excuse to charge you pocket change for the bag, because amazon was killing retail.

Never. They do not want them. Must take them back to the grocers and put into that bin.

Reducing it is a more realistic option since some people are unwilling to change. But changing something now would be alienating too...

This. Americans are way too lazy and "freedom loving" to ever bring cloth bags with them to do shopping. It was turned into politics. Only libs support green ideas.

Edit: My grandma is the type of ninja who takes all of the packets of ketchup and napkins from fast food chains so we don’t have to buy ketchup and napkins.

Thats even less likely to be fixed. Because it requires fixing birth rates. And thats another can of worms.
