Texas hail storm destroys 1000s of acres of solar panels
https://twitter.com/Roughneck2real/status/1772339177264148491

The damage is devastating, not to mention the clean-up of all of that environmentally corrosive material. What did the small amount of power generated solve?

"green energy" is a scam to tax people more

Oooooooh. It is on Twitter. So it just has to be true. It just has to be. Poor Groogo thinks it has to be true.

It looks good on paper eh..
The last hail storm here broke my windshield and put dents in my car. That is what hail does since it's balls of ice.

I have been thru a few, I have had to grab a sheet of plywood and hold it above my head and my car to protect both before, some are absolutely brutal!

Except[www.newsweek.com] these panels have been reported as to not having those materials. As well as the toxic materials are a film within the panel itself. Cracking the panels does not cause any of them to 'leak' out.

But hey, it's easier to make stuff up than do basic research.
If we stick with coal, won't have to worry about hail anymore!

Not using green energy will produce more intense hail storms and thus more damage. Even to your precious cars running on gas.

i have solar panels myself and i can confirm that they do actually have like mega corrosive materials inside of them.
i cracked one by accident once and my legs melted off and a smoldering pit approximately 10 feet deep swallowed up the panels.

Of the solar cells that my father has, only 3 broke a few years ago when it hailed, but it required hail the size of baseball or bigger for them to break. It tore the living daylights our of my car, and I was parked under a tree, so it takes a decent force to break the panels.

This is what you get for using Xenomorphs as material for your panels.

i know. 😔

i learned my lesson and have since moved to environmentally friendly coal power for my house.

Good to know. I find solar panels for a single-use application ie: A home (or homesteads) to be an excellent innovation.

I found a site that says the panels are supposed to have a hail damage rating. Some are better than others. There are also extra covers you can put over them if you expect large hail. But if you go cheap ...
