Anybody ever see this dude? I saw him a few years ago standing in the corner of my room whilst I was lying in bed and then he just disappeared...bros wtf.

I had a few bouts of sleep paralysis when I was a teenager. Several times I had "false awakening" experiences where I would have sleep paralysis, think I beat it and woke up, and then make my way to the bathroom to take a leak and drink some water. I would suddenly have what I can only describe as an overwhelming sense of DOOM wash over me, just pure terror. Like there is some awful thing lurking just outside the walls. Then I would wake up for real.

In one experience I had sleep paralysis and heard a high pitched sound like glass fracturing. Like imagine a sharp knife being pressed into a window, and the window starts whining and cracking. I saw lights under my bedroom door, and the sounds of many footsteps just outside the door. Like a bunch of little people running around. I had this awful feeling they were grays, like the alien. But I didn't see them that time. I ended up breaking out of it and waking up.

I eventually learned to focus on one finger, or one toe, and pour all my concentration and rage into just wiggling it, and then try to do several, and then try to do the hand or foot. Eventually i would break more and more free of the paralysis until I could kick or punch my bed and fully break out of it. I didn't have many more experiences once I learned to do that.

Though I did have one experience as an adult soon after I moved into my current house. It was just a vivid nightmare. No sleep paralysis. It was a "false awakening" dream where I woke up and sat in my bedroom, and felt the "overwhelming sense of DOOM" coming from my closet. I opened it up, and a tall gray alien was standing inside the closet. It was so tall I couldn't see it's face because it was taller than the doorway. I got pissed and tried to punch it, but the doom presence made my movements sluggish and all I did was slap it on the chest like an idiot. I remember its skin felt cold and clammy. I woke up right after.

I never saw the hat man. I guess I should be thankful...

Fortunately for me, I have Jesus in my life, so to the evil spirits I'm untouchable. Sounds like a jolly annoying dream, though.

Though I could see the medical implications if you need surgery and they're out of anesthetic.

There are all sorts of youtube videos about the hat man and benadryl.

I think that's a stupid way to meet any entity, let alone one that is apparently very malicious.

I remember seeing him when I was young and on some kind of mild antihistamine. For allergies.

I kept rolling my eyes at him, thinking "don't you know who I am?? I don't need this from you; maybe not from anybody!" then one time later I confronted him about it and he basically said "well if you keep taking benadryl i'm going to keep showing up, since I'm a splinter entity generated by the pharma industry's use of our cells in the prototyping and industrialization process, and benadryl is cheap as hell so it'll keep happening."

I woke up angry and wanted to stop taking benadryl for reasons I couldn't remember.
